About

Our story began not in a big workshop, but at a small table, surrounded by old vintage sewing tools that had their own history and soul. We loved working with them — the smooth feel of the wood, the simple yet clever design, the way they connected us to the generations of crafters before us.

But one day we asked ourselves: “What if we could create something even better? Tools that are not only as beautiful as the old ones but also stronger, more comfortable, and made to last for many years?

So began a long journey of experiments, countless prototypes, and endless adjustments. We tested shapes, polished surfaces, and selected only the best hardwoods — alder, beech, and others — for their durability and warmth to the touch. We poured our hearts into each piece.

Most of our tools are still made entirely by hand. Our Speedweve and darning looms are assembled by our own family in our home workshop. Even the hooks for Speedweve are crafted by us on mini-machines we designed ourselves. Every step, from the first cut of wood to the final assembly, is done with care.

At first, we shared our creations with the world through our Etsy shop — https://www.etsy.com/shop/Speedweve — and were overjoyed to see thousands of happy customers repairing, creating, and weaving with our tools.

And now, our dream has finally come true: we have opened this long-awaited website — a place where quality comes first, and every customer is treated with the care and attention they deserve.

We invite you to join our family of makers who value craftsmanship, creativity, and the joy of making something with their own hands. Whether you are repairing a cherished sweater or weaving something entirely new, we are here to provide the tools to bring your ideas to life.
